Presentations
I had the opportunity to present my work spanning from my tenure as a Master of Public Health student at Morehouse School of Medicine to now as a PhD Candidate in the Integrative Biosciences PhD Program at Tuskegee University. These experiences have taught me how to better translate my work from science to service. I am better able to analyze and synthesize primary and existing data in a manner that reflects both an asset-based approach (i.e. identifying protective factors in promoting health) in conjunction with a deficit-based approach (i.e. identify problems contributing to disease).
